METRIC modules
Metric Modules are designed with two standout features: optimized dual texture and tooless insertion. These features are designed with the singular goal of maximizing focused PEP training efficiency.
- Tool Free Insertion: Metric Modules are designed with a tapered profile for smooth guided insertion and fit ribs to lock the module in place. The tolerances have been specially designed to lock the module in without the need for the stock screws or other clips. This enables lighting fast module swaps so you can focus more on the training and less on the gear.
- Dual Texture: The dual texture on the modules is precisely located so your fingertips glide on the smooth floor before locking in on the textured edge for confident tactile feedback. The texture reduces risk of dry fires and is only located at your tips giving you max effort confidence.
metric edge range

Flat collection
The flat edge is the foundation for hold specific training, especially outdoors. That’s why Metric Flat Edge Modules cover a range from 2mm to 24mm. Micro edges shine in the no-hang format by opening the ability to add micro adjustments to resistance.
The lip of each edge is fine tuned with a variable depth specific radii, ensuring small edge precision and large edge comfort.

INCUT COLLECTION
A flat edge with a subtle incut based on the edge design from the exceptionally popular 20mm edge on Metric’s Crag Block. The Incut Modules are intentionally designed for grip specificity, dry fire reduction, and training confidence.
The incut encourages active grip positions like a half crimp and discourage cheating through friction like you can in an open crimp.

Ergo Collection
A gently incut edge with a subtle rounded ergonomic profile designed to better match natural finger length differences.
The convex shape promotes more even load distribution across all fingers, reducing the tendency of flat edges to overload longer fingers while underloading shorter ones like the pinky. The result is a more balanced and consistent training platform.

morpho collection
Morpho Modules are unlevel edges designed with organic geometry that prioritizes load distribution and promotes safer training with PIP joint support. The ramp encourages a neutral hand position, while the gentle incut supports active half crimp engagement.
Morpho Modules come in standard sizes based on over 100 measurements and a bespoke option made for your measurements.
Morpho custom
The Morpho Custom Inserts are tailored to your exact finger measurements for a more anatomically neutral and comfortable grip position.
Using 15 unique measurements, each insert is designed to improve load distribution, reduce injury risk, and promote efficient half crimp engagement through a gentle incut and supportive curved ramp. The dual-texture surface adds friction only where it’s needed most—on the fingertips.
Each set includes left, right, and symmetrical inserts, though the left and right versions are better suited for heavier loading.
Pro Edge Platform FAQs
What’s the difference between the PEP and The Block?
Developed in 2018, The Block was created to serve as an intersection between warm-up, rehab, and training. The Pro Edge Platform, on the other hand, takes the training aspect to a professional level, offering greater strength and customization for your no-hang training needs.
Are edge inserts sold separately?
The Raw Aluminum and Anodized Black PEP frames come with one wooden 20mm edge—additional wooden edges sold separately.
The Limited Edition Anodized Gold comes with all 4 wooden inserts.
Specialized Masochism Edge Kit is sold separately.
What’s the difference between the frames?
All frames offer the same strength metrics—the difference is purely based on your aesthetic preference. However, the Limited Edition Anodized Gold is only available during the PEP’s initial launch.
Will there be more inserts in the future?
Yes. The PEP is a platform by which we will create more edge inserts in the future, giving you even more options to customize your training experience.
What is Kebony?
Kebony is a highly durable, sustainable wood with the aesthetics and performance of the best tropical hardwood.
What is the PEP made out of?
The PEP is a hybrid of materials–
The Frame: Machined billet aluminum with static nylon cordelette and custom solid brass screws.
Tension Edge Inserts: Moisture resistant Kebony wood.
Specialized Masochism Inserts: High-grade plastic filament.
What’s Specialized Masochism?
Specialized Masochism is a leader in specialized 3D-printed no-hang tools for climbers.
Should I use the PEP to warm up?
While there's no one to stop you from using the PEP for your crag warmups, the PEP is meant to be used as a professional grade training tool for high-load no-hang training. For a warmup tool, check out The Block.
How heavy is the PEP?
The PEP weighs .8lbs (12.8oz) with a standard wood edge insert.
